Welcome to Old Money Finds, Madame.
We help women build a capsule wardrobe of fewer, better pieces, so they get dressed with ease and are seen for who they truly are. It all began with our founder, Ivy, and a feeling you might know. This is her story, in her words.
Prepared, and still doubted
Early in my marketing career, I would walk into meetings having done all the work. I knew the strategy and I knew the numbers, and I could still feel people doubting me before I said a word. Good contracts went to someone else. I told myself it was experience, or timing, or bad luck.
It took me a while to admit what was really happening. My clothes were introducing me before I could, and they were telling everyone I wasn't quite ready.
A full closet and nothing to wear
So I did what most women do and bought more. My closet grew. My confidence didn't.
Then came an event I had to dress up for. I opened that full closet and nothing went together. The trousers didn't match any blouse, the skirt fought with everything, and there were too many prints. I spent the whole afternoon trying on outfits and left in the one that felt least bad, because there was no time left to buy anything.
When I walked in and saw the women around me, all so put together, I wanted to disappear. I had taste. I just had no idea how to show it.
Not even my trip to Europe escaped. I spent months reading packing lists, and every one of them was generic, written without my style, the real weather or the way women dress there in mind. I packed far too much, worried about baggage fees the entire way, and when the weather changed at the last minute I was left with one outfit that worked. It's in almost every photo of that trip.
The conversation that changed everything
Around that time, my friend Bella started telling me about elegance and capsule wardrobes, a small collection of pieces where each one works with all the others. For the first time I understood why my full closet kept failing me. Nothing in it had been chosen to go together.
I needed to understand how it worked, so I studied style the way I study any strategy. I read Chic by Glória Kalil, The Curated Closet by Anuschka Rees, Color Me Beautiful by Carole Jackson, Style for Everybody by Kim Appelt and The Packing Book by Judith Gilford. I took Karla Welch's capsule wardrobe course. Then I tested every idea on myself.
Little by little, my closet got smaller and my outfits got better. Twelve well-chosen pieces did more for me than sixty bought at random.
And then something I hadn't expected happened at work. People listened differently. I started closing larger contracts and being valued for what I brought to the table. I was the same professional I had always been. Now people could see it before I opened my mouth.
Old money, for every woman
That's when I came across the term old money again. It describes families whose elegance spans generations, always chosen with discretion and never announcing what it cost. I fell in love with that way of dressing, and I couldn't accept the idea that it belonged only to women born into it.
The dream
For a while, all of this stayed in my own closet. Then one night I had a dream in which God told me to move this project forward. I didn't understand why. I only knew that when I woke up, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
I'm a Christian, and I took that dream as a calling. Old Money Finds was born on June 15, 2025. I designed the brand, wrote the first guide and shared it with the world, and everything moved faster than I could have imagined. Today more than 300 Madames have built their wardrobes with our guides.
Why Old Money Finds exists
Every woman who finds us reminds us of where Ivy started, standing in front of a full closet, prepared for the meeting and still invisible in the room. A smaller wardrobe also asks less of the planet, and that matters to us as much as the styling does.
If that's where you are right now, you're in the right place. Here you'll learn to build a capsule wardrobe for everyday life and for travel, with outfit ideas for every occasion and the reason behind every choice, so people see who you are from the very first glance.

Start with ten pieces
See how far a few good choices can take you before you buy anything new. The Old Money Starter Capsule gives you 10 pieces and 32 complete outfits built from them, so you can try the method in your own closet this week.
You'll get your guide right away and an occasional note from us after that. Leave whenever you like.
Fewer pieces, better chosen.
